An upper air trough of low pressure (“U” shape on yellow line) moved away from us as high pressure (“Arch” shape on yellow line) took over to dry us out. Now low pressure returns, but a frontal system will wait until tonight to start bringing back the wet weather, then another frontal system will push through between Saturday and Sunday.
