It’s another Monday and time for my weekly weather quiz question. Since the Hurricane season  for this year is almost over (it ends November 30th) I thought this would be an interesting question. What is the longest period of time on record without a hurricane hitting the United States?  Please remember to post your answer as a comment by clicking on “no comments /comments” in the upper right hand portion of this page under the caption, then add your comment. The first person to post the correct answer will win a week of free personalized weather forecasts tailored to your needs. The answer has to be a comment to win. An email answer will not count. Good luck.

Advisories:  NONE AT THIS TIME.

An upper air trough of low pressure (“U” shape on yellow line)  has angled the airflow over the Pacific Northwest to bring us more moisture. More frontal systems will march through this week to keep us wet and we will seriously cool down by Wednesday.
