Here is my weekly weather quiz question. The weather has played an important role in Presidential Inaugurations in the United States. In what year was the hottest Inauguration day and who became President? Please remember to post your answer as a comment by clicking on “no comments /comments” in the upper right hand portion of this page under the caption, then add your comment. The first person to post the correct answer will win a week of free personalized weather forecasts tailored to your needs. The answer has to be a comment to win. An email answer will not count. Good luck.

Here is a preview of the weather for the Oregon Civil War this Saturday at Autzen Stadium The Ducks vs The Beavers:

Kickoff 12:30 PM – Cloudy and dry, temperature hovering around 45. Dress appropriately for the chilly temperatures.

A strong upper air trough of low pressure (“U” shape in the jet stream is setting up along the Oregon coast keeping the moisture level up.  A frontal system pushed into Oregon bringing colder air south producing falling temperatures and falling snow levels as another frontal system pushes through over the weekend and there may be some new snow in the mountains for the skiers (Hoodoo will open Friday and Willamette Pass ski area hopes to open the season this Friday as long as they get enough additional snow. Check their websites for updates).
