Here is my weekly weather quiz question. The weather has played an important role in Presidential Inaugurations in the United States. In what year was the hottest Inauguration day and who became President? Please remember to post your answer as a comment by clicking on “no comments /comments” in the upper right hand portion of this page under the caption, then add your comment. The first person to post the correct answer will win a week of free personalized weather forecasts tailored to your needs. The answer has to be a comment to win. An email answer will not count. Good luck.

A strong upper air trough of low pressure (“U” shape in the jet stream will move over Oregon keeping the moisture level up.  A frontal system will begin to move into Oregon tonight bringing a last push of moisture. Weak high pressure will clear things out a bit then another frontal system pushes through over the weekend and there will be some new snow in the mountains for the skiers (Hoodoo will open Friday but Willamette Pass ski announced it will not be able to open the season this Friday due to recent rainfall. Check their websites for updates).
