A high pressure ridge (“Arch” shape on the jet stream) is planted offshore and the airflow will keep us in the sunshine, as long as the fog clears. So, for all of the work week we’ll see sunshine after the late night and early AM fog and/or freezing fog clear out. That also means that our air quality is suffering with the sinking air of high pressure holding on to the pollutants at the surface. The ridge will slide over then past us allowing more clouds and a chance of precipitation returning next weekend as a cold front moves in from the northwest.
