It’s time for my new weekly weather quiz question. Here it is. How did George Washington use his weather knowledge to escape when the British apparently had his army trapped on January 2, 1777? Please remember to post your answer as a comment by clicking on “no comments /comments” in the upper right hand portion of this page under the caption, then add your comment. The first person to post the correct answer will win a week of free personalized weather forecasts tailored to your needs. The answer has to be a comment to win. An email answer will not count. Good luck.

cold front moved through the Pacific Northwest bringing a chance of rain with it.A high pressure ridge (“Arch” shape on the jet stream) will move toward us Wednesday bringing the fog with possible freezing fog around again. Low pressure follows, bringing back the chance of rain again. It looks like we will fall into a wetter weather pattern starting the day after Christmas. Still not enough snow for Willamette Pass or Hoodoo to open for skiing, but Mt. Ashland has opened.
