Tim Chuey Weather

Here is another chance at this week’s weather quiz question. Wind does actually “whistle through the wires.” What is the name given to the distinct musical or humming sounds made by the wind? Please place your answer as a comment on this page. The first person to post the correct answer will win one week of personalized forecasts tailored to your needs.

_______________

The “El Nino” weather pattern will continue to control our weather keeping us above normal for temperatures and below normal for precipitation. An upper level trough of low pressure (see blue arrows over the Pacific Northwest forming the letter “U”) is sending a new storm system that is still offshore our way. For the weekend weak High Pressure will hold off new storms and keep us dry, for the most part.
