Advisories:  A HIGH SURF ADVISORY IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 PM TODAY FOR THE SOUTH CENTRAL AND SOUTH OREGON COAST.

________________

A frontal system, shown offshore, will bring more clouds and some rain back to Oregon late today and tonight into Saturday AM. There will be a relatively dry period for the weekend as an upper level high pressure ridge (“Arch” shape on the yellow line) takes over. A frontal system will be pushed in by an upper level low (“U” shape on yellow line) Monday giving us one day with chances for rain. So far, it looks like most of next week will be dry. The snow levels still will not come down low enough or long enough to increase the possibility of some serious mountain snow. Mt. Ashland is closed now due to poor snow conditions. Hoodoo is officially open (as usual closed Wednesdays). Willamette Pass will be open on a very limited basis for this Saturday and Sunday. Please check their web sites for the latest details and updates.
