Advisories: A DENSE FOG ADVISORY IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 AM TODAY FOR THE ENTIRE I-5 CORRIDOR FROM PORTLAND SOUTH THROUGH EUGENE AND SPRINGFIELD.
________________
There will be a dry period for the rest of the weekend as an upper level high pressure ridge (“Arch” shape on the yellow line) continues to hold control over the Pacific Northwest. A frontal system will be pushed in by an upper level low (“U” shape on yellow line) Monday (position shown is on Tuesday) giving us a short burst with chances for rain. So far, it looks like the rest of next week will be dry. The snow levels still will not come down low enough or long enough to increase the possibility of some serious mountain snow. Mt. Ashland is closed now due to poor snow conditions. Hoodoo is officially open (as usual closed Wednesdays). Willamette Pass will be open on a very limited basis for today. Please check their web sites for the latest details and updates.
