A weak cold front moved through Oregon giving us a short burst with chances for rain. An upper level high pressure ridge (“Arch” shape on the yellow line) will take control over the Pacific Northwest this afternoon through the rest of the week. Toward the weekend the upper air flow will be coming more from the Northwest bringing a frontal system and the chances of rain back for at least part of the weekend. The rain should return Sunday with another wave possible on Monday. The snow levels still will not come down low enough or long enough to increase the possibility of some serious mountain snow. Mt. Ashland is closed now due to poor snow conditions. Hoodoo is officially open (as usual closed Wednesdays). Willamette Pass will be open on a limited basis for the upcoming weekend Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Please check their web sites for the latest details and updates.
