Here is my weekly weather quiz question. Today is your last chance to win this week. We have had rain and snow but let’s focus on total precipitation which includes rain and melted snow or other frozen precipitation. What US city has the highest normal annual precipitation in inches? Extra credit if you get the right total too. Please remember to post your answer as a comment by clicking on “no comments /comments” in the upper right hand portion of this page under the caption, then add your comment. The first person to post the correct answer will win a week of free personalized weather forecasts tailored to your needs. The answer has to be a comment to win. An email answer will not count. Good luck.

An upper level low pressure trough (“U” shape on yellow line) will be moving closer to us then moving through. A  surface low and frontal system pushed through Oregon with another frontal system right on it’s heals to make sure we stay very wet over the weekend into next week. Mt. Ashland is open today. Hoodoo is open (as usual closed Wednesdays). Willamette Pass reports they closed today, but will be open Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Please check the ski resort web sites for the latest details and updates as the new storms could improve the snowpack for skiing.
