Here is my weekly weather quiz question. Who first used silver iodide to encourage rain to fall from the clouds? Please remember to post your answer as a comment by clicking on “no comments /comments” in the upper right hand portion of this page under the caption, then add your comment. The first person to post the correct answer will win a week of free personalized weather forecasts tailored to your needs. The answer has to be a comment to win. An email answer will not count. Good luck.

Advisories: NONE AT THIS TIME.

A trough of low pressure (“U” shape on the yellow line) has moved through along with a frontal system that passed through rather quickly taking the chance of rain away. A high pressure ridge (“Arch” shape on the yellow line) will take over bringing back the sunshine for the end of the week through the weekend into next week. There could be one wet spot in the forecast on Tuesday as a weak frontal system moves quickly through the Pacific Northwest as it falls apart. Then it’s back to high pressure and more sunshine.
