This is your last chance this week to answer my weekly weather quiz question. What is a hair hygrometer and for what purpose is it used? Please remember to post your answer as a comment by clicking on “no comments /comments” in the upper right hand portion of this page under the caption, then add your comment. The first person to post the correct answer will win a week of free personalized weather forecasts tailored to your needs. The answer has to be a comment to win. An email answer will not count. Good luck.

Advisories:  NONE AT THIS TIME.

high pressure ridge (“Arch” shape ion yellow line) has been dominating our weather pattern, but some weak storms are sneaking in under it (see shaded area bulging into California and Oregon).  A  frontal system moving through the Pacific Northwest has returned the chance of showers and then yet another disturbance pushes through Sunday. Even more frontal systems will keep the showers around through next week.
