A high pressure ridge (“Arch” shape on yellow line) has been dominating our weather pattern, but some weak storms have been sneaking in under it (see shaded area bulging into California and Oregon). A frontal system pushes through today dragging rain with it. A trough of low pressure will set up offshore and even more frontal systems will keep the showers around through next week.
