Sorry, no winner this week for my weekly weather quiz question.

Here is my weekly weather quiz question for the last time. What is the difference between the terms “weather” and “climate?” Here is the correct answer. The difference between weather and climate is a measure of time. Weather is what conditions of the atmosphere are over a short period of time (days, weeks, months), and climate is how the atmosphere “behaves” over relatively long periods of time (years, centuries, eons). I’ll have a new weekly weather quiz question for you starting next Monday. Please remember to post your answer as a comment by clicking on “no comments /comments” in the upper right hand portion of this page under the caption, then add your comment. The first person to post the correct answer will win a week of free personalized weather forecasts tailored to your needs. The answer has to be a comment to win. An email answer will not count. Good luck.

A trough of low pressure (“U” shape on the yellow line) is moving Eastward away from us as a high pressure ridge (“Arch” shape on the yellow line) took over for a short time. A trough of low pressure “U” shape on the yellow line) is pushing our way. A  frontal system is on its way to us to produce a bit of rain for your Monday. Another frontal system (position shown is Wednesday) will continue the threat of rain next week.
