A trough of low pressure (“U” shape on the jet stream) is sliding southward and eastward and lengthening. That trough is sending a fetch of moisture with it. A frontal system moved its way into the Pacific Northwest with the warm front first then the cold front behind it bringing wind and rain to the coast and just rain for the rest of us. Another storm will move in Saturday making sure the weekend is wet too. Looking into next week More frontal systems will give us rainy weather for next week too.
