A high pressure ridge , called an “Omega Block” because it is shaped like the Greek letter omega, will get stronger and move North a bit, but still plenty of sunshine and mild temperatures through rest of the weekend into early next week. A storm will slide under the bottom of the ridge and brush the extreme southern part of Oregon, mainly along the coast, which could produce a slight chance of showers late tonight and Sunday. A weak storm system will move toward the West Coast between Tuesday night and Wednesday and that will be our next chance for a slight chance rain in Western Oregon. Later in the week a stronger storm system will bring a better chance of rain.
