The jet stream is bringing the air to us from the Northwest (Gulf of Alaska) as you can see with the shaded area and the blue arrows. That will change us from the warmer than normal Spring-like weather back to a more late winter pattern with falling snow levels. The next cold front is already onshore. Behind it is much colder aloft that will also sweep in along the surface. This will be good for skiers and won’t last too long to hamper gardeners for too long. Other storms will head toward us, but late in the week a strong storm will push its central area of low pressure Northeastward into British Columbia taking the worst of the storm away from us.
