The jet stream is bringing the air to us from the Northwest (Gulf of Alaska) as you can see with the shaded area and the blue arrows. A frontal system is moving into Oregon. With it is much colder aloft and at the surface . This will be good for skiers and won’t last too long to hamper gardeners for too long. Other storms will head toward us, but late in the week, Friday, another storm system will push in bringing more precipitation.
