It’s Monday and that means another weekly weather quiz question. You’ve no doubt heard about the tornadoes that have struck in the eastern half of the country recently. Here is my question. Has anyone found a way to stop tornadoes? Please explain your answer. Please remember to post your answer as a comment by clicking on “no comments /comments” in the upper right hand portion of this page under the caption, then add your comment. The first person to post the correct answer will win a week of free personalized weather forecasts tailored to your needs. The answer has to be a comment to win. An email answer will not count. Good luck.

An upper level low (“U” shape on brown line) will be moving over the Pacific Northwest. A frontal system is on its way to Oregon. It will move through tonight and early Tuesday. A high pressure ridge (“Arch” shape on brown line) take over Wednesday and that will mean sunshine and dry weather with temperatures near or slightly below normal for the 4th of July. The dry weather should last through the weekend.
