It’s Monday and that means a new weekly weather quiz question. Here is my new question. What is the “free air freezing level” we refer to in the Cascades weather forecasts? Please define what it is. Please remember to post your answer as a comment by clicking on “no comments /comments” in the upper right hand portion of this page under the caption, then add your comment. The first person to post the correct answer will win a week of free personalized weather forecasts tailored to your needs. The answer has to be a comment to win. An email answer will not count. Good luck.

closed low (brown circle) is sliding south from Canada through Oregon bringing us more clouds as it moves through, but I don’t think we’ll see any significant precipitation just a chance of a shower or thunderstorm. A frontal system will swing in Wednesday, again bringing only clouds and not a significant chance of precipitation. We will dry out and warm u as we head into next weekend.
