Here is my weekly weather quiz question. What is the “free air freezing level” we refer to in the Cascades weather forecasts? Please define what it is. Please remember to post your answer as a comment by clicking on “no comments /comments” in the upper right hand portion of this page under the caption, then add your comment. The first person to post the correct answer will win a week of free personalized weather forecasts tailored to your needs. The answer has to be a comment to win. An email answer will not count. Good luck.

closed low (brown circle) slid south from Canada through Oregon on to the California/Oregon border, where it will stay a while, and then migrate north and east tomorrow as it continues to bring us more clouds and the chance of showers or thunderstorms as it rotates the air around it from southeast to northwest. A weak cold front will slide though Saturday with clearing skies and warmer temperatures behind it. We will dry out and warm up as we head into the weekend and next week.
