Here is my weekly quiz question. Has ice ever reached the Gulf of Mexico by way of the Mississippi River? If so, when? Please post your answer as a comment after the forecasts on this page. The first person to post the correct answer will win one week of free personalized weather forecasts tailored to your needs. Good luck.
_______________
You can tell it’s “Spring Break” because our weather pattern keeps changing. A ridge of high pressure is sitting over us now (see the blue arrows forming an arch) and will be moving eastward. A trough of low pressure offshore will start to move eastward behind it sending the next frontal system our way to produce rain for a couple of days starting tonight. Yet another frontal system will come through on Sunday bringing back the rain chances.
