Here is my weekly weather quiz question. Today is your last chance to win this week. This one should be easy for you. Why are clouds white? Please remember to post your answer as a comment by clicking on “no comments /comments” in the upper right hand portion of this page under the caption, then add your comment. The first person to post the correct answer will win a week of free personalized weather forecasts tailored to your needs. The answer has to be a comment to win. An email answer will not count. Good luck.

Advisories: NONE AT THIS TIME.

The upper level low (“U” shape sliding southward eastward over southern B.C. and Washington) is moving through the Pacific Northwest.  We’ll warm up a bit again through the weekend as a high pressure ridge (“Arch” shape in blue arrows west of Oregon) starts to build in. Another upper level low will slide in behind the ridge early next week. A cold front will approach the Oregon coast Sunday morning bringing more clouds and cooler temperatures again. So far, and I emphasize so far, it looks like the Labor Day weekend will nice and dry, but it is too early to be certain.
