Here is my weekly quiz question. Has ice ever reached the Gulf of Mexico by way of the Mississippi River? If so, when?  Please post your answer as a comment after the forecasts on this page. The first person to post the correct answer will win one week of free personalized weather forecasts tailored to your needs. Good luck.
_______________
You can tell it’s “Spring Break” because our weather pattern keeps changing. A trough of low pressure (see the blue arrows forming a “U” shape) is drifting eastward. A  frontal system moved through Oregon producing rain. A weak disturbance will move in next. Yet another frontal system will come through on Sunday bringing back the rain chances, so Saturday looks like the only dry day.
