Tim Chuey Weather
Aug
27.

Wednesday was warmer than Tuesday by more than 10 degrees. Eugene reached a high of 89 and Roseburg got to 95. Today will be just a touch warmer than Wednesday. A trough of Low Pressure along with a week cold front, most of which will pass north of us, will bring a chance of some sprinkles to the area Thursday night & Friday at the coast and Friday morning and afternoon in the Willamette Valley. Valley temperatures will cool to the mid 70s for Friday. The weekend will heat up back to the low and mid 80s.

Don’t  forget my weekly weather quiz. Here’s this week’s question. In the 1996 movie “Twister” a device called “Dorothy” was used to study how tornadoes function. There was a real device used in early tornado research. What was it called? Please put your answer in the comments section. You have until the end of the week to respond. The winner will receive a week of free personalized forecasts just like last week’s winner Linda Dietz. Good luck.
