Here is my weekly weather quiz question. Can a bolt of lightning appear in any other color that white? Please remember to post your answer as a comment by clicking on “no comments /comments” in the upper right hand portion of this page under the caption, then add your comment. The first person to post the correct answer will win a week of free personalized weather forecasts tailored to your needs. The answer has to be a comment to win. An email answer will not count. Good luck.

Advisories: NOT AT THIS TIME.

An upper level low (“U” shape in blue arrows shaded in grey) has moved through the Pacific Northwest and another one is sliding down Western British Columbia toward us. A frontal system has fallen apart as it moved into Oregon today with not much effect. I still feel the Labor Day Holiday weekend will be pretty nice. The temperatures won’t be summer hot, but rather average for the time of the year, but it will be dry. A weak frontal system will try to move through Oregon Monday with not much effect once again. A high pressure ridge will warm us up next week just in time for the kids to go back to school.

**Because weather forecasting is a combination of science, intuition, and timing there can be no absolute guarantees that individual forecasts will be 100% accurate. Nature is in a constant state of flux and sudden unexpected weather events can happen.
