A high pressure ridge (“Arch shape shaded grey and with blue arrows ”) is bringing back the sunshine and warmed us up for the rest of the workweek. The big problem is the smoke that is being pushed at us from the East. A surface thermal trough of low pressure will push eastward cooling us a bit on Friday and it will shove the smoke to the East away from us. A upper level trough of low pressure (“U” shape shaded ) in the Gulf of Alaska will push a cold front through on Saturday, but will only bring us a few more clouds and cooler temperatures that will warm up again next week.
