A  high pressure ridge (Shaded “Arch” shape with blue arrows over Western Canada) is bringing even more sunshine to the Pacific Northwest for the rest of the week into the weekend. A trough of low pressure  (Shaded “U” shape with blue arrows now in the Gulf of Alaska) will move closer to the Oregon coast bringing the chance of showers by Thursday.

**Because weather forecasting is a combination of science, intuition, and timing there can be no absolute guarantees that individual forecasts will be 100% accurate. Nature is in a constant state of flux and sudden unexpected weather events can happen.
