Here is my new weekly weather quiz question. What is a “lahar.” We’ve had an answer posted that was not correct, but it was in the correct area. Please remember to post your answer as a comment by clicking on “no comments /comments” in the upper right hand portion of this page under the caption, then add your comment. The first person to post the correct answer will win a week of free personalized weather forecasts tailored to your needs. The answer has to be a comment to win. An email answer will not count. Good luck.

Advisories: A FROST ADVISORY IS IN EFFECT FROM 2 AM UNTIL 8 AM WEDNESDAY FOR THE KLAMATH BASIN.

A high pressure ridge (Shaded “Arch” shape with blue arrows) is setting up over the Gulf of Alaska in such a way as to send cold Canadian air our way. We’ll have frosty nights followed by pleasant days with sunshine and average temperatures. The high will push a frontal system from northeast to southwest pushing the cooler air through the “back door”at us.
