A high pressure ridge continues move away from the Pacific Northwest and it is weakening. An upper level low (small area shaded in blue) is moving across Southern California and will spin up clouds at us. A frontal system will slide through the Pacific Northwest Friday starting a parade of storms that are headed our way. Another surface frontal system that will slide through by Sunday will increase the clouds and the chance of rain too. More frontal systems will parade through Sunday and Monday. We are finally going to see our first significant rain of the season. Note: Remember that the roadways can get very slippery when we get rain falling on very dry pavement. The rain water brings up the oil that has been deposited on the pavement making a slippery coating until enough rain can wash it away.
