It’s Monday and that means it is time for a new weekly weather quiz question. Here it is. What is a “halo?” Please remember to post your answer as a comment by clicking on “no comments /comments” in the upper right hand portion of this page under the caption, then add your comment. The first person to post the correct answer will win a week of free personalized weather forecasts tailored to your needs. The answer has to be a comment to win. An email answer will not count. Good luck.

Advisories:  NONE AT THIS TIME.

An upper level low (the shaded ”U” shape on the jet stream) is continuing to send moist air into the Pacific Northwest producing more clouds and the chance of rain while lowering mountain snow levels down to the passes. This storm is producing the first snowfall of the season at pass levels. That trough of low pressure will stay with us through the week with a possible break toward the end of the week.
