Wednesday was a great day! An upper level low will slide into us from the Northwest and help sweep a couple of cold fronts our way through the weekend. As you can see, on after the other they will bring clouds and precipitation. Saturday looks to be the wettest.

See one front through and another wave on the way
Look for temperatures today near 80 in the Willamette Valley and the low 80s for the Umpqua Basin. Rain will be likely for Saturday with showers Saturday evening. There will still be a chance of showers on Sunday and for LAbor Day itself. Temperatures will cool to the upper 60s Sunday, then very slowly start to warm up. Guess what? By next Wednesday when everyone is back to work skies will be mostly sunny with highs near 80.
You still have two days to answer my weekly quiz. We’ve all heard of noise pollution and we usually blame large cities for causing it. What was the loudest noise in recorded history? You have the rest of the week to come up with the answer. Please leave your answer as a comment. The first person to correctly answer the question will receive one week of free personalized weather forecasts suited to your needs. Also, you can only win once per year. Good luck.
