High Pressure (the arch-shaded and with blue arrows-moving ashore) is moving away from us to be replaced, temporarily by  a low pressure trough (the “U” shape shaded with blue arrows in it) which has pushed a new frontal system through Oregon. High pressure will return for a while and then it’s back to low pressure and more storms next week.

Forecast for the Southern and lower Mid Willamette Valley including Eugene-Springfield:  A mixture of clouds and sun with a few scattered morning showers and isolated afternoon showers then partly cloudy this evening and mostly cloudy with a slight (20%) chance of showers tonight high 54 low near 32. A mix of clouds and sun Friday with a (20%) chance of AM showers then a slight (20%) chance of afternoon sprinkles,  just partly cloudy Friday night high 56 low 34. A mix of clouds and sun and warmer Saturday then mostly cloudy with a slight (20%) chance of showers Saturday night and Sunday highs 62-57 low 35. Partly cloudy Sunday night with a slight (20%) chance of showers low 40. Mostly cloudy with a (30%) chance of rain Monday through Wednesday highs 57-53 lows near 39.
