Here is my weekly weather quiz question. We all know that tornadoes are dangerous and can kill. What were the deadliest tornadoes recorded in the U.S.?  Please remember to post your answer as a comment by clicking on “no comments /comments” in the upper right hand portion of this page under the caption, then add your comment. The first person to post the correct answer will win a week of free personalized weather forecasts tailored to your needs. The answer has to be a comment to win. An email answer will not count. Good luck.

An upper level trough of low pressure (shaded “U” shape) coming out of the Gulf of Alaska  is pushed a frontal system through Oregon bringing more rain and wind, but not as severe as the one Monday. Weak high pressure will take over just in time for Thanksgiving. We will turn to less intense showers as something to be thankful for on Thanksgiving Day, but it will still be a good day to stay indoors and eat turkey (or Tofurkey). Another frontal system will march through Oregon later this week assuring the wet weather will stick around. We’ll have to keep an eye out for more flooded streets due to plugged storm drains and keep watching water levels if you live near a river or stream.
