Sorry, no winner this week. Here is my weekly weather quiz question for the last time. We all know that tornadoes are dangerous and can kill. What were the deadliest tornadoes recorded in the U.S.?  The April 25–28, 2011 tornado outbreak was the largest single-system tornado outbreak ever recorded. It was also the costliest and one of the deadliest tornado outbreaks in history. The outbreak affected a large swath of the Southern, Midwestern, and Northeastern United States, leaving catastrophic destruction in its wake, especially across the state of Alabama.[7  For more details go to this Outbreak Summary. I’ll have a new weekly weather quiz question starting Monday. Please remember to post your answer as a comment by clicking on “no comments /comments” in the upper right hand portion of this page under the caption, then add your comment. The first person to post the correct answer will win a week of free personalized weather forecasts tailored to your needs. The answer has to be a comment to win. An email answer will not count. Good luck.

frontal system pushed through the Pacific Northwest. A building  upper level ridge of high pressure (shaded “Arch”shape in blue arrows) will clear us out today into early next week. The next frontal system will gather offshore Tuesday and slowly move in pushing rain out ahead of it. In other words we’ll be on an interesting roller coaster ride for a while fighting between clouds and sun and wet and dry.
