Here is my weekly weather quiz question. What is the average ratio of melted liquid to actual snowfall? In other words how much melted snow (liquid amount) will equal a specific amount of snow? Please remember to post your answer as a comment by clicking on “no comments /comments” in the upper right hand portion of this page under the caption, then add your comment. The first person to post the correct answer will win a week of free personalized weather forecasts tailored to your needs. The answer has to be a comment to win. An email answer will not count. Good Luck.

Another upper level trough of low pressure is moving down from the Gulf of Alaska following the one that is moving away from us. A warm front (shown in red) is moving through raising temperatures a bit and raising the snow levels well above the valley floor. It will be followed by a cold front that will push in late tonight and Thursday. For skiers Mt. Ashland, Hoodoo and Willamette Pass are all open.
