Here is my weekly weather quiz question. Today is your last chance to win this week. What is the average ratio of melted liquid to actual snowfall? In other words how much melted snow (liquid amount) will equal a specific amount of snow? Please remember to post your answer as a comment by clicking on “no comments /comments” in the upper right hand portion of this page under the caption, then add your comment. The first person to post the correct answer will win a week of free personalized weather forecasts tailored to your needs. The answer has to be a comment to win. An email answer will not count. Good Luck.

Another upper level trough of low pressure is moving down from the Gulf of Alaska following the one that is moved away from us. A frontal system slowly moved through Oregon on Thursday. Part of that storm is moving through Northern California spinning precipitation into the area between Roseburg and Medford. That upper level low will continue hanging around keeping our weather showery. A new frontal system will be approaching the Pacific Northwest Christmas morning. Sorry, no white Christmas for the valleys only the mountains.
