Here is my new weekly weather quiz question. Please define “Limnology.” Hint: it can be a deep subject. Please remember to post your answer as a comment by clicking on “no comments /comments” in the upper right hand portion of this page under the caption, then add your comment. The first person to post the correct answer will win a week of free personalized weather forecasts tailored to your needs. The answer has to be a comment to win. An email answer will not count. Good Luck!

Cold high pressure (shaded “Arch” shape) is moving through the the Pacific Northwest. That ridge aloft along with high pressure (Blue “H” off the coast) at the surface will keep storm systems away from the Pacific Northwest for the near future. Watch out for slippery roadways late night and early AM due to fog freezing on the surface of the road.
