It’s time again for my weekly weather quiz question. This week’s question shouldn’t be too hard. What name is given precipitation that falls from a cloud, but evaporates before it reaches the ground? It is seen as dark streaks coming out of the cloud. Please post your answer as a comment after these forecasts. The first person to post the correct answer will win one week of free personalized weather forecasts tailored to your needs. Good luck.

______________

An upper level low is moving closer from the West (see the blue arrows moving in a counterclockwise direction). A frontal system has moved through Oregon bringhing a good moisture feed with it. . High pressure will return about mid week or so to dry us a bit, as we will be between storm systems, but it won’t last long as another frontal system will move through the Pacific Northwest late Friday night and Saturday.

**Because weather forecasting is a combination of science, intuition, and timing there can be no absolute guarantees that individual forecasts will be 100% accurate. Nature is in a constant state of flux and sudden unexpected weather events can happen.
