The high pressure (shaded “Arch” shape with blue arrows) is opening up and moving to the east allowing storms to return to the Pacific Northwest. Watch out for slippery roadways early this AM due to fog freezing on the surface of the road through today. A frontal system is headed our way to return the chance of rain to Oregon. The first part of a frontal system will be moving into the Pacific Northwest late Thursday into Friday bringing rain with it by late at night. The second part , a cold frontal system, will approach the Pacific Northwest over the weekend.
