An upper level trough of low pressure (shaded “U”shape) is sliding through the Pacific Northwest. Then here comes surface high pressure (Empty area over the ocean) combined with high pressure aloft (Shaded “Arch” shape moving toward Oregon) that will keep us relatively dry until Thursday. A weak cold front (position shown is Saturday) will bring a chance of rain on through Friday night and then it’s back to sunshine for the weekend.
