Here is my weekly weather quiz question. This is your last chance to win this week. What is “radiational cooling?” Please remember to post your answer as a comment by clicking on “no comments /comments” in the upper right hand portion of this page under the caption, then add your comment. The first person to post the correct answer will win a week of free personalized weather forecasts tailored to your needs. The answer has to be a comment to win. An email answer will not count. Good luck.

Upper level high pressure (Shaded “Arch” shape) has given us plenty of sunshine and much warmer than normal temperatures, but will change as low pressure (shaded “U” shape) will be dropping down from the Gulf of Alaska. Add that to a cold front (position shown is Monday) that will sweep through over the weekend (the strongest part will be to the north) and we’ll see just the slight chance of showers back by Saturday night and Sunday.
