Here again is my weekly weather quiz question. There are many colloquial names given for tropical cyclones. Some examples are typhoon and hurricane. One of those names is “Willy Willy.” In what part of the world is a tropical cyclone called a”Willy Willy?” Please post your answer as a comment after the forecasts. The first person to post the correct answer will win one week of free personalized weather forecasts tailored to your needs. Good luck.
_______________
A trough of low pressure is still over us (the shaded “U” ) and it has kept us cooler than normal and a bit wet. The high pressure ridge behind it (shaded “arch” shape ) and a surface will give us sunshine and dry weather for a couple of days. Another low will approach for the weekend bringing back the chance of rain, then a strong cold front will move in Monday returning colder than normal temperature and better chances for rain.
