An upper level high pressure ridge (shaded “Arch” shape) is still dominating our weather pattern. An upper level low rotating over California will produce the chance of thunderstorms from the Willamette Valley, to the mountains, at the coast, and in the Umpqua Valley today. The next cold frontthat will effect Oregon won’t appear until a week from today.

**Because weather forecasting is a combination of science, intuition, and timing there can be no absolute guarantees that individual forecasts will be 100% accurate. Nature is in a constant state of flux and sudden unexpected weather events can happen.
