An upper level high pressure ridge (shaded “Arch” shape) has been dominating our weather pattern. An upper level low (Circular shape made of blue arrows) rotating counter clockwise over California and Oregon will produce the chance of thunderstorms in the mountains and in the Umpqua Valley as it slowly moves away from us. We’ll have more warmer than normal temperatures as temps rise to around 80 again. The next cold front that will effect Oregon won’t appear until late Sunday into Monday.
