A high pressure ridge (the shaded area off shore) will strengthen over the Pacific Northwest bringing back the summer heat.

After some AM clouds, today will be mostly sunny and warmer with Willamette Valley highs at 85. It will be warmer yet Friday and Saturday with highs of 90 and 92 respectively. Warmer in the Umpqua Basin. An upper level trough of low pressure will send a cold front through the state late Saturday night and Sunday cooling us down to highs of 82 on Sunday and 76 by Monday.

That will bring at least a slight chance of showers Monday night through Wednesday with temperatures cooling of to the mid 70s.
