Tim Chuey Weather

Here again is my weekly weather quiz question. There are many colloquial names given for tropical cyclones. Some examples are typhoon and hurricane. One of those names is “Willy Willy.” In what part of the world is a tropical cyclone called a”Willy Willy?” Please post your answer as a comment after the forecasts. The first person to post the correct answer will win one week of free personalized weather forecasts tailored to your needs. Good luck.

_______________

A trough of low pressure has been over us (the shaded “U” ) and it has kept us cooler than normal and a bit wet. The high pressure ridge behind it (shaded “arch” shape ) and a surface high will give us sunshine and dry weather for a few days. Another upper level low will approach for the weekend bringing back the chance of rain by the middle of the weekend as a weak disturbance slides into California Sunday. The upper level low pressure trough will bring back the cooler and and damp weather for unsettled conditions next week.
