Here is my new weekly weather quiz question. Please define the term “acid rain.” Please remember to post your answer as a comment by clicking on “no comments /comments” in the upper right hand portion of this page under the caption, then add your comment. The first person to post the correct answer will win a week of free personalized weather forecasts tailored to your needs. The answer has to be a comment to win. An email answer will not count. Good luck.

An upper level low (Shaded “U” shape) has moved up to the Oregon coast shifting the airflow from the southwest increasing our chances for rain for a while. A frontal system moved through the Pacific Northwest spreading showers ahead of and behind it. High pressure will try to dry us out, but it won’t last very long. Another upper level low will move in and a frontal system should be approaching the Oregon coast by Monday. This weekend is the 106th celebration of the Rhododendron Festival in Florence. Yes, there will be a chance of rain Friday and Sunday but the chances are high Saturday. Remember, if it does rain and you get wet that this celebration is for the “Rhody” which likes and needs rain.
