An upper air high pressure ridge (shaded “Arch” shape with blue arrows) is taking over as our weather maker. This week is looking dry, bright, and quite a bit warmer as the high pressure keeps any serous storms away. A cold front pushed through with most of its energy going to the north over the ridge into Canada. Another frontal system will push inland with most of its energy again mainly to our north Sunday, but again it looks weak and will fall apart so we’ll only see at most a few clouds but no precipitation from it. Also an upper level trough of low pressure (shaded “U” shape following the ridge) will move in sitting offshore Sunday into Monday. Great weather for the NCAA Track and Field Championships except for the very high grass pollen count. Anyone who is allergic wil have to deal with it the best way they can.

The Grass Pollen Count has gone through the roof and is listed at Very High at 661 according to Oregon Allergy Associates.
